Vicks Sedative Cough Syrup 180 ml

Syrup based on Dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

Therapeutic indications
Vicks Cough Sedative is used as a cough suppressant.

Dosage and Posology
The drug should be taken according to the following doses and methods:.

Adults and children over 12 years: 15 ml (equivalent to 3 coffee spoons).
Children from 6 to 11 years: 5 ml (equivalent to 1 teaspoon).
Children from 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml (equivalent to ½ coffee spoon).
These doses can be repeated every 6 hours, up to 4 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Overdose
A moderate overdose could cause a feeling of instability, excitement, mental confusion and gastrointestinal disturbances. Very high doses could cause respiratory depression. Treatment of overdosage may require gastric lavage and treatment of specific symptoms.

Il farmaco va assunto secondo le seguenti dosi e modalità: .

Adulti e ragazzi oltre i 12 anni: 15 ml (equivalente a 3 cucchiaini da caffè).
Bambini dai 6 agli 11 anni: 5 ml (equivalente a 1 cucchiaino da caffè).
Bambini dai 2 ai 5 anni: 2,5 ml (equivalente a ½ cucchiaino da caffè).
Queste dosi possono essere ripetute ogni 6 ore, fino a 4 volte al giorno. Non superare le dosi consigliate.

Sovradosaggio
Un sovradosaggio moderato potrebbe causare una sensazione di instabilita’, eccitazione, confusione mentale e disturbi gastrointestinali. Dosi molto alte potrebbero causare depressione respiratoria. Il trattamento dell’iperdosaggio puo’ richiedere la lavanda gastrica e la cura dei sintomi specifici.
