The small hedgehog sculpture is handmade from the purest noble porcelain and decorated with twenty-four-carat gold or platinum. The author of the artistic design is the master of Atelier JM Lesov Kamil Ježek.

Who doesn’t know a prickly and at the same time favorite animal – a hedgehog, but how little we really know about these useful creatures. Hedgehogs live all over Europe, Africa and Asia, and their venerable pedigree dates back at least 45 million years ago. Their backs and hips are covered by 7 – 8 thousand two to three cm long thorns, and despite the seemingly clumsy figure, the hedgehog travels even 2 km at night and can “run” a short distance at a speed of 3.5 – 7 km / h! It is not just stopped by an obstacle, it can swim and climb well, it can also climb a wire fence 1.5 meters high. The hedgehog sleeps about four-fifths of the day, yet he manages so many activities that we could envy him.
