Areas of application: According to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. These include: Stimulating peptic digestive activity by harmonizing motor and secretory functions, e.g. loss of appetite, feeling of fullness, nausea.
Contraindications:
Bitter Elixir must not be used:
- with known hypersensitivity to ginger and pepper.
- for stomach and intestinal ulcers.
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In case of gallstones, only use after consulting a doctor.
Precautions for use and warnings:
There is no sufficiently documented experience with the use of this medicine in small children. It should therefore not be used in children under 6 years of age. This medicine contains sucrose. Please only take Bitter Elixir after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) contains 7 g sucrose (sugar). If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take this into account. Bitter Elixir can be harmful to the teeth (caries).
