Split pain pills (pack size: 30) are used as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory / analgesic for the treatment of acute mild to moderately severe pain. Spalt painkillers (pack size: 30) are analgesic, fever-lowering and anti-inflammatory.

Mode of action
Acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol, the active ingredients of the split pain tablets (pack size: 30 pieces), are inhibitors of cyclooxygenase. While the mechanism of action for paracetamol, which mainly acts cerebrally, has not yet been fully clarified, that of acetylsalicylic acid is already well understood. Both paracetamol and acetylsalicylic acid prevent the synthesis of pain-, inflammation- and fever-mediating messenger substances and thus counteract the corresponding symptoms. By combining the two active ingredients, an additive effect compared to the individual active ingredients is achieved in the treatment of pain and fever. This effect could be confirmed in various animal models.

Anwendungsgebiet
Spalt Schmerztabletten (Packungsgröße: 30 stk) werden als nicht-steroidales Antiphlogistikum/Analgetikum zur Behandlung von akuten leichten bis mäßig starken Schmerzen angewendet. Spalt Schmerztabletten (Packungsgröße: 30 stk) sind schmerzstillend, fiebersenkend und entzündungshemmend.

Wirkungsweise
Acetylsalicylsäure und Paracetamol, die Wirkstoffe der Spalt Schmerztabletten (Packungsgröße: 30 stk), sind Hemmstoffe der Cyclooxygenase. Während der Wirkmechanismus für das vornehmlich cerebral agierende Paracetamol noch nicht vollständig geklärt ist, ist der der Acetylsalicylsäure bereits gut nachvollziehbar. Sowohl Paracetamol als auch Acetylsalicylsäure unterbinden aber die Synthese von schmerz-, entzündungs- und fiebervermittelnden Botenstoffen und wirken so entsprechenden Symptomen entgegen. Durch die Kombination der beiden Wirkstoffe wird nun ein gegenüber den Einzelwirkstoffen additiver Effekt bei der Schmerz- und Fieberbehandlung erreicht. Diese Wirkung konnte in verschiedenen Tiermodellen bestätigt werden.
