The preparation is an anti-fungal agent (antifungal agent).
The drug is used for proven nystatin-sensitive yeast infections of the skin, when neither a greasy nor a drying component is desired, especially with the involvement of Candida spp. B. Diaper Candidacy
The preparation works specifically against saprophytic and parasitic yeasts, especially Candida species. The active ingredient nystatin inhibits the spread of pathogens in low and medium doses. These are killed by high doses of nystatin. The effect of nystatin depends on the germ density, so the maximum dose should always be given if the germ density is unknown.
As a result, depending on the dose and germ density, a corresponding reduction and elimination of yeasts is possible.
The therapeutic applicability and bioavailability of nystatin depend not only on the active ingredient, but also essentially on the choice of the dosage form and the other ingredients suitable for this.

Das Präparat ist ein Mittel gegen Pilzinfektionen (Antimykotikum).
Das Arzneimittel wird angewendet bei nachgewiesenen Nystatin-empfindlichen Hefepilzinfektionen der Haut, wenn weder eine fettende noch austrocknende Komponente erwünscht ist, insbesondere mit Beteiligung von Candida spp., wie z. B. Windelkandidose
Das Präparat wirkt spezifisch gegen saprophytische und parasitische Hefepilze, besonders gegen Candida-Arten. Der Wirkstoff Nystatin hemmt bei niedriger und mittlerer Dosierung die Ausbreitung der Krankheitserreger. Durch hohe Nystatin-Dosen werden diese abgetötet. Die Wirkung von Nystatin ist von der Keimdichte abhängig, daher sollte bei unbekannter Keimdichte stets maximal dosiert werden.
Dadurch gelingt, von Dosis und Keimdichte abhängig, eine entsprechende Reduzierung und Eliminierung der Hefepilze.
Die therapeutische Anwendbarkeit und biologische Verfügbarkeit von Nystatin hängen nicht nur allein vom Wirkstoff, sondern auch wesentlich von der Wahl der Darreichungsform und der hierfür geeigneten sonstigen Bestandteile ab.
