Mentho-Paraffinol, liquid, 125 g (Hasco)

Mentho-Paraffinol is a laxative drug. The medicinal product is in the form of an oral fluid and is used in constipation.
The active substance of the drug is liquid paraffin (Paraffinum liquidum).
1 g of oral solution contains 998.75 mg of liquid paraffin.
Excipient: peppermint oil.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The drug is administered orally. The dosage of Mento-Paraffinol is 1-3 tablespoons (15-45ml) at night, but not immediately before bedtime, or in the morning on an empty stomach. The effect occurs a few hours after application.

The action of Mentho-Paraffinol is to inhibit the absorption of water and coat the intestinal mucosa, which softens the stools and facilitates defecation.
