How does Levocetirizine Hexal work?

Levocetirizine HEXAL® for allergies contains the active ingredient levocetirizine dihydrochloride, a modern generation antihistamine. Antihistamines block histamine receptors and thus prevent the development of typical allergy symptoms such as itching, runny nose or itchy eyes. Due to the close binding of levocetirizine to the histamine receptors, the allergic symptoms can be noticeably alleviated within half an hour of ingestion.
