The product is indicated for the supportive treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in children and adults, for the treatment and prevention of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotics. It is used concomitantly with vancomycin and metronidazole to treat colitis caused by Clostridium difficile. It is intended for the prevention of infant diarrhea and supportive treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Dosage
Adults and children from 4 years of age usually take 1 or 2 capsules once or twice a day, children under 4 years of age 1 to 2 capsules a day.
The capsules should be swallowed whole with plenty of fluid. When given to infants and children under 3 years of age, the capsules should be opened and their contents mixed with water, a favorite drink, food, or food in a baby bottle.
The contents of the capsule can be mixed with liquid or food even in patients who have difficulty swallowing whole capsules. Patients who have difficulty swallowing capsules or the characteristic odor of the capsule contents, and children 3 years of age and older can also take Enterol powder for suspension. The product must not be drunk or mixed with very cold or very hot drinks or food! It must not be mixed with alcohol!

Přípravek je indikován k podpůrné léčbě akutního infekčního průjmu u děti i dospělých, k léčbě i prevenci kolitidy a průjmů způsobených antibiotiky. Současně s vankomycinem a metronidazolem se používá k léčbě kolitidy způsobené Clostridium difficile. Je určen k prevenci kojeneckých průjmů a podpůrné léčbě syndromu dráždivého tračníku.

Dávkování
Dospělí a děti od 4 let obvykle užívají 1 nebo 2 tobolky jednou nebo dvakrát denně, děti do 4 let 1 až 2 tobolky denně.
Tobolky se polykají celé a zapíjejí dostatečným množstvím tekutiny. Při podání kojencům a dětem do 3 let je třeba tobolky otevřít a jejich obsah smíchat s vodou, oblíbeným nápojem, potravou, nebo s potravou v kojenecké lahvi.
Obsah tobolky lze smíchat s tekutinou nebo potravou i u pacientů, kteří mají problémy s polykáním celých tobolek. Pacienti, kteří mají problém s polykáním tobolek či s charakteristickým zápachem obsahu tobolky, a děti od 3 let mohou též užívat Enterol ve formě prášku pro přípravu suspenze. Přípravek se nesmí zapíjet ani míchat s velmi studeným nebo velmi teplým nápojem ani potravou! Nesmí se míchat s alkoholem!
