ASS-ratiopharm Protect 100 mg inhibits, among other things. the sticking together and clumping of blood platelets (thrombocytes) and thereby prevents the formation of blood clots (thrombi) (inhibition of platelet aggregation).

For unstable angina pectoris (heart pain due to circulatory disorders in the coronary arteries) as part of the standard therapy
For acute myocardial infarction – as part of standard therapy
To prevent another heart attack after the first heart attack (for re-infarction prophylaxis)
After operations or other interventions on arterial blood vessels (after arterial vascular surgery or interventional procedures, e.g. after aortocoronary vein bypass [ACVB], after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty [PTCA])
For the prevention of temporary insufficient blood flow in the brain (TIA: transient ischemic attacks) and cerebral infarctions after previous stages (e.g. temporary paralysis of the face or arm muscles or temporary loss of vision) have occurred.
Dosage and instructions for use:
If possible, before a meal, swallow the tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water).
For the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, the first enteric-coated tablet should be chewed or chewed.

ASS-ratiopharm Protect 100 mg hemmt u. ein. das Zusammenhalten und Verklumpen von Blutplättchen und Beromten der Entstehung von Blutgerinnseln (Thrombozytenaggregationshemmung).

Zur Vorbeugung eines weiteren Herzinfarkts nach erstem Herzinfarkt (zur Reinfarktprophylaxe)
Nach Operationen oder anderen Eingriffen an arteriellen Blutgefäßen (nach arteriellen gefäßchirurgischen oder interventionellen Eingriffen z. B. nach aortokoronarem Venen-Bypass [ACVB], bei perkutaner transluminaler koronarer Angioplastie [PTCA])
Zur Vorbeugung von vorübergehender Mangeldurchblutung im Gehirn (Hirn Tark: transitorischen ischämischen Attacken) und Hirninfarkten.
Dosierung und Anwendungshinweise:
Nehmen Sie die Tabletten bitte unzerkaut möglichst vor der Mahlzeit mit arbeitsbedürftigen (z. B. einem Glas Wasser) ein.
Zur Behandlung bei akutem Herzinfarkt sollte die erste magensaftresistente Tablette zerbissen oder zerkaut werden.
