The drug is used at
caused by the herpes simplex virus
– infections of the skin and mucous membranes;
– cold sores; For the soothing treatment of pain and itching in the case of frequently recurring herpes infections with blistering in the lip area (recurrent herpes labialis).
– Genital herpes infections (initial infection as well as frequently recurring infections in the genital area);
– inflammation of the cornea of the eye. Preventive treatment should be attempted in adult patients who have very severe forms of very frequently recurring genital herpes simplex infections.
The drug must not be taken / used
– if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to acyclovir or any of the other ingredients of the drug. The following also applies to tablets containing acyclovir:
– if you have impaired kidney function or urine production is decreased (i.e. less than 100 ml urine in 24 hours), you should not use the drug as a preventive measure, as there is no information about the use of the drug under these conditions.
Das Medikament darf nicht eingenommen/angewendet werden,
– wenn Sie überempfindlich (allergisch) gegen Aciclovir oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile des Medikaments sind. Für Aciclovir-haltige Tabletten gilt zusätzlich:
– wenn Ihre Nierenfunktion eingeschränkt oder Ihre Harnproduktion vermindert ist (d. h. weniger als 100 ml Harn in 24 Stunden), sollten Sie das Medikament nicht zur Vorbeugung anwenden, da über den Einsatz des Medikaments unter diesen Bedingungen noch keine Angaben vorliegen.
