Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis) is obtained by cold pressing from seeds. Evening primrose is a unique herb whose yellow flowers bloom around 18 hours and close after about 24 hours. The flowers smell the most at night, so they are pollinated mainly by moths.

Our evening primrose oil contains 73.3% omega-6 fatty acids linoleic acid and 8.9% very valuable gamma-linolenic acid. These unsaturated fatty acids are part of the phospholipids that form cell membranes. In addition, they are the starting materials for the synthesis of eicosanoids, which have a positive effect on a number of functions in the body.
