fragments of hidden truth we will still not try. The experienced author of non-fiction and new detective stories Roman Cilek has been trying to do this in his books for many years, and even this time his choice of dramatic views beneath the surface of historical events will not disappoint us.

Roman Cílek (* 1937) was born in České Budějovice under the restless and searching sign of Ryb, he spent his childhood and youth in Soběslav and Ústí nad Labem, but he has lived in Prague since the post-war years. In more than half a century of his literary work, he has published dozens of books of non-fiction and detective stories, some of which have won important awards and have become a masterpiece (Shots at Villa Edelweiss, Olga Hepnarová – killed because she could not live.) The books Heroes of Czechoslovakia in the Whirlwind of World Wars (co-author Karel Richter), Laughter or Curse of Power, Behind the Curtain of Terror and War, Dying in Installments, Dream Thief, Love Smelled of Death were published.

zlomků skryté pravdy nebudeme stále pokoušet. Zkušený autor literatury faktu a neotřelých detektivek Roman Cilek se o to ve svých knihách snaží již mnoho let, a ani tentokrát nás jeho výběr dramatických pohledů pod povrch historického dění nezklame.

Roman Cílek (*1937) se v neklidném a hledačském znamení Ryb narodil v Českých Budějovicích, dětství a mládí prožil v Soběslavi a Ústí nad Labem, ale už od poválečných let žije v Praze. Za více než půlstoletí svého literárního působení vydal několik desítek knih literatury faktu a detektivních příběhů, z nichž některé získaly významná ocenění a staly se i filmovou předlohou (Výstřely ve vile Edelweiss, Olga Hepnarová – zabíjela, protože neuměla žít.) V nakladatelství Naše vojsko mu vyšly knihy Hrdinové Československa ve smršti dvou světových válek (spoluautor Karel Richter), Přejde vás smích aneb Prokletí moci, Za oponou teroru a války, Umírání na splátky, Zloděj snů, Láska voněla smrtí.
