Chinese Schizandra is a TOP herb of Chinese medicine. They are valuable adaptogens and antioxidants.

Chinese schizandra or clown powder comes from the northern Chinese region of Dongbei, which is known for its cold climate. Adverse conditions cause slower fruit development but greater accumulation of active ingredients. The fruits of Dongbei origin are small but very effective.
Schizandra is a herb of the first order of traditional Chinese medicine – it is one of the most valuable adaptogens and antioxidants. Use is suitable for increased exertion, fatigue or strain of the body. The effect lasts for 1-6 hours.

Schizandra is used as a tonic to promote mental well-being. It affects respiratory health, and also contributes to proper liver function, health and cleansing.

Traditional use
We use the dried berries without further treatment by direct consumption or add them to the tea. Stimulating effect: 15–40 berries 60 min. before the required power. Adaptogenic effect – for mental well-being: divide 15-30 berries into 2 to 3 doses.

Occasionally, white frosting occurs on the fruit. This is not harmful, it is the crystallization of sugar and citric acid under the influence of pressure (in vacuum packaging or storage of large quantities on top of each other). From mold, this frosting is easily recognizable by a quick licking of the tongue, when you can smell an excellent sweet and sour taste. We are talking here, of course, about the sugars and acid that occur naturally in the fruit. The fruits do not contain any additives.
