The effect of the nasal drops is based on the active ingredient silver protein acetyltannate. This has an antiseptic and decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa. The medicine is suitable for both adults and children of all ages.
Indication and area of application
The solution for instillation into the nose is used in conjunction with the treatment of nasal mucous membrane irritation with secretion formation. The silver contained in the silver protein acetyltannate attaches itself to the pathogens that cause colds and thus inhibits their reproduction. As a result, inflammation of the mucous membranes is reduced. In addition, silver protein acetyltannate has an astringent effect due to the tannin it contains and causes the upper layers of the mucous membrane to contract, which significantly reduces secretion formation and release.
Contraindications and Contraindications
If you or your child are hypersensitive to silver protein acetyltannate, tannin or silver, you should not use the preparation. Rhinoguttae pro infantibus MP is also contraindicated in the case of nasal bleeding as well as wounds and injuries in the nose. In addition, the drug is not suitable for long-term therapy. With long-term use, the silver compounds contained can be deposited in the (mucous) membranes and internal organs such as the kidneys and lead to tissue damage there.
dosage
Put one or two drops in each nostril for yourself or your child before meals up to six times a day. Make sure that your or your child’s head is angled backwards. Then bend your head forward briefly. Any residue that may come out of the nostril can be carefully dabbed off with a soft cloth.

Die Wirkung der Nasentropfen beruht auf dem Wirkstoff Silbereiweiß-Acetyltannat. Dieser wirkt antiseptisch und abschwellend auf die Nasenschleimhaut. Das Arzneimittel eignet sich sowohl für Erwachsene als auch Kinder jeden Alters.
Indikation und Anwendungsbereich
Die Lösung zum Einträufeln in die Nase kommt begleitend zur Behandlung von Nasenschleimhautreizungen mit Sekretbildung zur Anwendung. Das im Silbereiweiß-Acetyltannat enthaltene Silber lagert sich an die Schnupfen auslösenden Erreger und hemmt so deren Vermehrung. In der Folge werden Entzündungen der Schleimhäute reduziert. Zudem wirkt Silbereiweiß-Acetyltannat aufgrund des enthaltenen Gerbstoffs (Tannin) adstringierend und sorgt für ein Zusammenziehen der oberen Schleimhautschichten, wodurch die Sekretbildung und -freisetzung entscheidend verringert wird.
Kontraindikation und Gegenanzeigen
Sollte bei Ihnen oder Ihrem Kind eine Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber Silbereiweiß-Acetyltannat, Tannin oder Silber vorliegen, sollten Sie auf die Anwendung des Präparats verzichten. Auch bei Nasenblutungen sowie Wunden und Verletzungen in der Nase ist Rhinoguttae pro infantibus MP kontraindiziert. Darüber hinaus eignet sich das Arzneimittel nicht zur Langzeittherapie. Bei einer Daueranwendung können sich die enthaltenen Silberverbindungen in den (Schleim-)Häuten und inneren Organen wie den Nieren ablagern und dort zu Gewebeschädigungen führen.
Dosierung
Träufeln Sie sich oder Ihrem Kind jeweils vor den Mahlzeiten bis zu sechsmal täglich je ein bis zwei Tropfen in jede Nasenöffnung. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr, beziehungsweise der Kopf Ihres Kindes, dabei nach hinten abgewinkelt ist. Beugen Sie den Kopf anschließend kurz tief nach vorn herunter. Eine eventuell aus der Nasenöffnung heraustretende Restmenge können Sie vorsichtig mit einem weichen Tuch abtupfen.
