Relief lamp – lithophany – Nativity scene

The original lamp, lithophany, is a relief that, when lit by a candle flame, creates a vivid image associated with an unmistakable atmosphere. Litofanie has been a popular interior decoration for aristocratic and other wealthy houses since its inception. Converting landscape, plant or figural motifs into porcelain relief is a very demanding hand job. Atelier JM Lesov (Thun Studio) has prepared for lovers of this fragile beauty a luxury series with themes of flora, fauna and motifs of the most beautiful places in the Czech Republic. The author of the designs is the academic sculptor Jiří Laštovička.
