Rectanal is a hypertonic rectal fluid composed of sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate and disodium phosphate dodecahydrate. The solution has a laxative effect and can be used by adults, adolescents and children over 3 years of age. The product is ready-to-use, in a special, easy-to-apply bottle.
The active substances are: sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate and disodium phosphate dodecahydrate.
100 ml of the solution contains 14 g of sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate and 5 g of disodium phosphate dodecahydrate calculated as anhydrous substances.
The other ingredients are sodium benzoate (E 211), sodium propionate (E 281) and water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
The recommended dose of rectal fluid for children aged 3-12 is 60 – 90 ml, while for adolescents and adults it is 120 – 150 ml of the solution. The product is administered rectally in the evening before the planned examination / procedure and on the day of surgery. Do not use more than once a day. The laxative effect occurs 2-5 minutes after application.
Way of giving:
1. Screw the applicator onto the bottle, lubricate the applicator with petroleum jelly or liquid paraffin.
2. Insert the tip into the rectum while trying to clamp the rectal sphincter.
3. Squeeze the bottle and introduce the solution into the intestine.
4. Stay in the same position for 2-5 minutes.

Roztwór działa przeczyszczająco i stosowany może być zarówno przez dorosłych, młodzież, jak i dzieci powyżej 3 roku życia. Produkt występuje w formie gotowej do użycia, w specjalnej, ułatwiającej aplikację butelce.
Substancjami czynnymi leku są: sodu diwodorofosforan jednowodny i disodu fosforan dwunastowodny.

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Zalecana dawka płynu doodbytniczego dla dzieci w wieku 3-12 lat wynosi 60 – 90 ml, natomiast dla młodzieży i osób dorosłych to 120 – 150 ml roztworu. Produkt podaje się doodbytniczo, wieczorem w przeddzień planowanego badania/zabiegu oraz w dniu operacji. Nie należy stosować częściej niż 1 raz na dobę. Efekt przeczyszczający występuje po 2-5 minutach od zastosowania.
Sposób podania:
1. Nakręcić aplikator na butelkę, nasmarować aplikator wazeliną lub płynną parafiną.
2. Końcówkę wsunąć do odbytnicy jednocześnie starając się zaciskać zwieracz odbytnicy.
3. Ściskając butelkę wprowadzić roztwór do jelita.
4. Pozostać w tej samej pozycji przez 2-5 minut.
