This vanilla naturally contains a higher percentage of vanillin, the main aromatic substance that gives vanilla its scent.

La vanille Bourbon est le nom de la vanille, qui etait a l’origine cultivee uniquement sur l’ancienne ile Bourbon (aujourd’hui La Reunion) et maintenant sa culture est etendue a d’autres iles de l’ocean Indien – Madagascar et les Comores. Cette vanille contient naturellement un pourcentage plus eleve de vanilline, principale substance aromatique qui donne a la vanille son parfum.
