The medicine contains the active substance pantoprazole, which blocks a type of pump that makes stomach acid. As a result, the amount of acid in the stomach is reduced.
It is used for the short-term treatment of symptoms of reflux (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults. Reflux is the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus, which can become painfully inflamed. This can cause symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in the chest area up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid reflux).

Das Arzneimittel enthält den Wirkstoff Pantoprazol, der eine Art Pumpe, welche die Magensäure herstellt, blockiert. Das hat zur Folge, dass die Säuremenge im Magen reduziert wird.
Es wird angewendet zur kurzzeitigen Behandlung von Refluxsymptomen (z. B. Sodbrennen, saures Aufstoßen) bei Erwachsenen. Reflux ist der Rückfluss von Magensäure in die Speiseröhre, die sich schmerzhaft entzünden kann. Dies kann Symptome verursachen wie ein schmerzhaftes zur Kehle aufsteigendes Brennen im Brustbereich (Sodbrennen) sowie einen sauren Geschmack im Mund (Säurerückfluss).
