In addition to the tried and tested active ingredient xylometazoline, which reduces swelling of the nasal mucous membrane and thus alleviates the symptoms of a blocked nose, the second component contains dexpanthenol, an active ingredient with a known anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effect.
The combination of xylometazoline and dexpanthenol clears the nose quickly and permanently: Otriven Protect works after 5–10 minutes and for up to 12 hours. At the same time, Otriven Protect offers protection and care for the damaged nasal mucosa and accelerates its self-healing.
Otriven Protect is suitable for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Good to know: For children under 12 years of age as well as for infants and toddlers, Otriven is also available in lower doses with other product variants.
