Mode of action
The active ingredient ibuprofen belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and as such is able to reduce pain, swelling and fever caused by inflammation. Its effect is based on the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins are the body’s own messenger substances which, among other things, mediate pain and inflammatory reactions. In conjunction with the amino acid lysine (as lysinate), ibuprofen can be absorbed more quickly by our body. Thus, the onset of action is faster than with conventional ibuprofen preparations.
