Neo-Pancreatinum forte is a drug that contains pancreatin, which is 3 enzymes (protease, amylase and lipase) that help digest food. Neo-Pancreatinum forte belongs to a group of medicines called pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy. The product is in the form of capsules containing pellets, which protect the enzymes contained in them against the action of gastric juice, thanks to which the drug releases panceratin in the small intestine. Neo-Pancreatinum forte is used in the case of pancreatic enzyme deficiencies of various causes, for example in chronic pancreatitis.
The active substance is pancreatin (Pancreatinum).
1 capsule contains pancreatin in the form of pellets covered with an enteric coating. Pancreatin in each capsule exhibits the following enzymatic activity: lipase 10,000 Eur. Ph., Amylase 8,000 Eur. Ph., Protease 500 Eur. Ph. (Ph.Eur. is the unit of enzymatic activity according to the European Pharmacopoeia).
Excipients: pellet: methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (1: 1), triethyl citrate, talc, simethicone; capsule shell external part: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (E 172), black iron oxide (E 172); capsule shell, inner part: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (E 172), quinoline yellow aluminum lake (E 104).
Dosage

Neo-Pancreatinum Forte should be taken with a meal with liquid.
The capsules should be swallowed whole – they should not be chewed, crushed or kept in the mouth, as this may irritate the mucosa and reduce the effectiveness of the drug. If you have difficulty swallowing the capsules (especially in young children), you can pour the pellets from the capsule, mix them with a small amount of “acid” food (eg apple or tomato sauce) and swallow immediately without chewing, then drink a glass of water or juice.

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta, lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Lek Neo-Pancreatinum Forte należy stosować w czasie posiłku, popijając płynem.
Kapsułki należy połykać w całości – nie należy ich rozgryzać, kruszyć ani trzymać w jamie ustnej, gdyż może to powodować podrażnienie błony śluzowej, a także zmniejszyć skuteczność leku. W przypadku trudności z połykaniem całych kapsułek (szczególnie u małych dzieci), można wysypać peletki z kapsułki, wymieszać z niewielką ilością „kwaśnego” pokarmu (np. mus jabłkowy czy pomidorowy) i bez żucia natychmiast połknąć, a następnie popić szklanką wody lub soku.
