Syrup based on carbocysteine.
Therapeutic indications
Mucosta Syrup is a mucolytic and fluidifying agent in acute and chronic affections of the respiratory system.
Posology and Dosage
Mucostar Syrup should be administered according to the following doses and methods. Taking into account the average body weights at various ages, the following dosage schedule can be suggested: in adults and children over 13-15 years old, three tablespoons a day.
In children from 2 to 5 (5-20 kg) 1/2 – 2 coffee spoons per day, in children from 5 to 10 years (20-30 kg): 2 – 3 teaspoons per day, in children aged 10 at 12 years (30-40 Kg) 3 – 4 coffee spoons per day.
The syrup must be administered between meals, in two or three administrations at regular intervals of time.
Overdose
Symptoms due to overdose include: headache, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain. In this case it is useful to induce vomiting or to perform gastric lavage.

Mucostar Sciroppo va somministrato secondo le seguenti dosi e modalità. Tenendo presenti i pesi corporei medi alle varie età, può essere suggerito il seguente schema posologico: negli adulti e ragazzi oltre i 13-15 anni tre cucchiai al giorno.
Nei bambini da 2 a 5 (5-20 kg) 1/2 – 2 cucchiai da caffé al giorno, nei bambini da 5 a 10 anni (20-30 Kg): 2 – 3 cucchiaini da caffé al giorno, nei bambini da 10 a 12 anni (30-40 Kg) 3 – 4 cucchiaini da caffé al giorno.
Lo sciroppo deve essere somministrato lontano dai pasti, in due tre somministrazioni a intervalli regolari di tempo.
Sovradosaggio
I sintomi dovuti a sovradosaggio comprendono: mal di testa, nausea, diarrea, gastralgia. In questa evenienza é utile provocare il vomito o praticare la lavanda gastrica.
