Magnerot A 500 granules. Active ingredient: magnesium bis (hydrogen aspartate) dihydrate. Field of application: Proven magnesium deficiency if it is the cause of disorders of muscle activity (neuromuscular disorders, calf cramps).

Take special care with magnerot A 500 granules if you have kidney problems. The medicine may then only be taken under medical supervision. Please ask your doctor about this. This also applies if you have previously had kidney problems. Diseases attributed to magnesium deficiency can also have other causes. If the ingestion has no effect, you should consult your doctor if you experience serious symptoms.

Children and the elderly:
There are no special precautions required. Lower-dose preparations are available for children.

Taking other medicines when taking magnerot A 500 granules:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines. Magnesium preparations should not be taken at the same time as tetracyclines (special agents for the treatment of infections), since there is a mutual hindrance to absorption (absorption). There should be a gap of 2-3 hours between taking magnesium and tetracycline or iron supplements. The absorption of iron can be disturbed by the intake of magnesium. Please note that this information may also apply to recently used medicines.

Taking magnerot A 500 granules with food and drink:
Alcohol promotes the excretion of magnesium and inhibits absorption (absorption) into the body and should therefore be avoided with therapy with magnerot A 500 granules.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
There are no concerns about the use of magnesium compounds during pregnancy and lactation.

Driving and using machines:
There are no special precautions required.

Important information about certain other ingredients of magnerot A 500 granulate:
Magnerot A 500 granules contain 82.21 mg aspartame as a source of phenylalanine (equivalent to 46.04 mg / dose) and can be harmful if you have phenylketonuria. Yellow orange S can cause hypersensitivity reactions.
