Maalox is a medicinal product for use in heartburn, hyperacidity and peptic ulcer disease with an antacid effect.
The active substances are: aluminum oxide hydrated, magnesium hydroxide.
1 sachet (4.3 ml) contains 460 mg of aluminum oxide and 400 mg of magnesium hydroxide.
Excipients: sucrose 64% solution, non-crystallising liquid sorbitol, xanthan gum, guar, natural lemon tree flavor, sodium chloride, 30% hydrogen peroxide.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
The drug is for oral use.
Take the drug after a meal.
Before opening, crush the contents of the sachet thoroughly.
For pain, 1-2 sachets are used.
Action
Maalox contains aluminum and magnesium compounds which neutralize (neutralize, buffer) the hydrochloric acid produced in the stomach. It has no direct effect on the secretion of hydrochloric acid. Maalox also lowers the acid concentration in the esophagus lumen. In addition, it also shows astringent and protective effects.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of hyperacid disorders of the upper gastrointestinal tract:
heartburn due to acidity, indigestion,
regurgitation of stomach contents into the esophagus (in the course of a hiatal hernia of the diaphragm),
gastritis.

Substancje pomocnicze: sacharozy roztwór 64 %, sorbitol ciekły niekrystalizujący, guma ksantan, guar, naturalny aromat drzewa cytrynowego, sodu chlorek, wodoru nadtlenek 30%.
Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak opisano to w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Lek do stosowanie doustnego.
Lek stosować po posiłku.
Przed otwarciem dokładnie rozgnieść zawartość saszetki.
W przypadku bólu stosuje się 1-2 saszetki.
Działanie
Maalox zawiera związki glinu i magnezu, które zobojętniają (neutralizują, buforują) kwas solny produkowany w żołądku. Nie powoduje bezpośredniego wpływu na wydzielanie kwasu solnego. Maalox obniża również stężenie kwasu w świetle przełyku. Dodatkowo wykazuje również działania ściągająće i osłaniające.
Wskazania
Leczenie objawowe zaburzeń górnego odcinka przewodu pokarmowego związanych z nadkwaśnością:
zgaga z powodu nadkwaśności, niestrawność,
zarzucanie treści żołądkowego do przełyku (w przebiegu przepukliny rozworu przełykowego przepony),
nieżytu żołądka.
