How to use LIVOSTIN
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. LIVOSTIN eye drops are manufactured in the form of a microsuspension. Therefore, shake the contents of the vial well before each use.
Use in children
LIVOSTIN is not for use in children under 6 years of age. The safety and efficacy of LIVOSTIN in children under 6 years of age have not been established.
Use in adults and children from 6 years
The usual recommended dose for adults and children from 6 years of age is one drop of LIVOSTIN eye drops twice a day in both eyes.
If the problem is very unpleasant, you can drip one drop three or four times a day. Treatment can be continued until the problem improves, but if there is no significant improvement or remission within one week, talk to your doctor about using it again.
In the treatment of perennial allergic problems, the product can be used for several months if it works well.
Renal and hepatic impairment
Due to renal excretion of levocabastine, a physician should be consulted for the duration of drug administration in case of renal impairment. No dose adjustment is required for hepatic impairment.
