Mode of action

Collagen is an elastic and at the same time resilient tissue and is the central building block of cartilage and bones. New Zealand green-lipped mussel powder is rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, especially on joints, and promotes the production of synovial fluid. Green-lipped mussel powder also provides glucosamine for cartilage formation. The production of collagen in bones and cartilage is promoted by vitamin C, while selenium and vitamin E protect the cells from free radicals.
