Imodium Instant is a medicinal product in the form of tablets that disintegrate in the mouth, so you do not need to drink them. Imodium Instant works against diarrhea and can be used during symptomatic treatment in children over 6 years of age and adults.
The active substance is: loperamide hydrochloride (Loperamidi hydrochloridum).
One orodispersible tablet contains 2 mg of loperamide hydrochloride.
The excipients are: gelatin, mannitol, aspartame, mint flavor, sodium bicarbonate.
Dosage

Imodium Instant is used orally. Place the tablet on the tongue, wait for it to dissolve and swallow it with saliva. No liquid to drink is needed.
Children over 6 years old:
Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea: initial dose of 1 tablet (2 mg) for children, then 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
The maximum dose is 8 tablets (16 mg) a day, but the dose must be adjusted to the body weight (3 tablets / 20 kg body weight).
Symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea: initial dose of 1 tablet (2 mg) daily for children. The starting dose should be adjusted until there is 1 to 2 normal stools per day, which is usually achieved with a maintenance dose of 1 to 6 tablets (2 to 12 mg) per day.
The maximum dose is 8 tablets (16 mg) a day, but the dose must be adjusted to the body weight (3 tablets / 20 kg body weight).
