Rheumatic diseases
Adult:
The recommended dose is 1200 to 1800 mg per day, divided into several doses. Your doctor may prescribe lower doses.

Young adults aged 15 to 17 years:
The recommended dose is 20 mg/kg, but not more than 40 mg/kg of body weight per day (maximum 2400 mg per day), divided into 3 or 4 doses. Your doctor will advise you accordingly.
Elderly patients

Kidney or liver dysfunction
If you have kidney or liver dysfunction, your doctor will advise you accordingly.
Duration of treatment
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult your doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen.
