Fast and long-lasting effect

The active ingredient loperamide in Lopedium® T akut takes effect in the intestine. There it inhibits propulsive peristalsis, which means that the stool is held in the intestine for longer. In addition, loperamide causes muscle contraction of the anal sphincter in the rectum area. Loperamide has a fast and long-lasting effect and is therefore particularly suitable for acute diarrhea.

Use and intake of Lopedium® T akut

Take the tablets whole with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water).

Do not take Lopedium T akut for longer than 2 days without medical advice. If the diarrhea persists after 2 days of treatment with Lopedium T akut, Lopedium T akut must be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Treatment with loperamide-containing medicines for longer than 2 days may only be carried out under medical prescription and with ongoing observation. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Lopedium T akut is too strong or too weak.
