ASS 100 Hexal as a blood thinner

In the western world, cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes are still the most common cause of death. Patients who have already suffered a heart attack or stroke are at increased risk, and therefore urgent action is required. A so-called platelet aggregation inhibitor, known as TAH for short or colloquially as a blood thinner, is used to prevent a second attack, but also as an accompanying treatment for acute angina pectoris and to prevent a cerebral infarction after the corresponding precursor stages. The drug ASS100 Hexal with the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid has proven to be effective. This prevents the blood platelets (thrombocytes) from clumping together and forming life-threatening clots that can block the vessels and subsequently lead to a heart attack or stroke, among other things.
