Erazaban is a cold sores medicine that blocks the virus from entering healthy skin cells. Its active ingredient is docosanol, which is a component of human cell membranes.
The active substance of the drug is vasazol (Doconazolum).
1 g of cream contains 100 mg of docosanol.
Excipients: sucrose stearate and distearate, light mineral oil, propylene glycol,
benzyl alcohol and purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: externally, carefully apply a thin layer of cream over the entire surface of herpetic lesions five times a day (at intervals of about 3 hours during the day).
Treatment should be started as soon as you notice the first symptoms of cold sores (itching, burning, burning or stinging at the affected area)
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medicine to avoid spreading any infection. You can use a cotton bud to apply the cream.
Continue treatment until fully healed, usually between days 4 and 6 of treatment. If there is no improvement in symptoms after 10 days, discontinue use of the drug and consult a physician.
Please note that this medication should only be used by one person. Handing the tube to other people runs the risk of passing on an infection.
Action
The active substance in Erazaban blocks viruses such as the herpes virus from entering the healthy skin cells. In this way, it prevents the virus from multiplying, thus shortening the duration and can soothe the course of herpes. It reduces the bothersome symptoms of herpes, such as pain, tingling, stinging and itching.
Indications
Erzaban is used to treat the early symptoms of recurrent herpes simplex infections in adults and children over 12 years of age.

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Dorośli i młodzież powyżej 12. roku życia: zewnętrznie, nałożyć ostrożnie cienką warstwę kremu na całą powierzchnię zmian opryszczkowych pięć razy na dobę (w odstępach około 3 godzin w ciągu dnia).
Należy rozpocząć leczenie, gdy tylko zauważy się pierwsze objawy opryszczki wargowej (świąd, pieczenie, palenie lub kłucie w miejscu dotkniętym zakażeniem)
Umyć starannie ręce przed i po nałożeniu leku, aby uniknąć rozsiewania zakażenia. Do nakładanie kremu można użyć patyczka kosmetycznego.
Kontynuować leczenie do pełnego wygojenia, do którego dochodzi zazwyczaj pomiędzy 4. a 6. dniem leczenia. Jeżeli nie stwierdzi się złagodzenia objawów po 10 dniach, należy przerwać stosowanie leku i skonsultować się z lekarzem.
Należy pamiętać, że ten lek powinien być stosowany tylko przez jedną osobę. Przekazanie tuby innym osobom wiąże się z ryzykiem przeniesienia na nie zakażenia.
Działanie
Substancja czynna leku Erazaban blokuje wnikanie do zdrowych komórek skóry wirusów takich jak wirus opryszczki. W ten sposób zapobiega namnażaniu się wirusa, dzięki czemu skraca czas trwania i może łagodzić przebieg opryszczki. Zmniejsza uciążliwe objawy opryszczki, takie jak: ból, mrowienie, kłucie oraz świąd.
Wskazania
Lek Erzaban jest stosowany w leczeniu wczesnych objawów wargowych nawracających zakażeń wirusem opryszczki zwykłej – Herpex simplex, u dorosłych i dzieci w wieku powyżej 12lat.
