The straps exert pressure on the muscles in the lower arm and thus reduce the pressure on the tendons of the elbow joint. These tendons are located exactly where the patient is feeling pain. It is used, for example, in enthesopathies in the elbow – painful syndromes that are caused by inflammatory processes in the attachment of tendons, ligaments and joint capsule, which is the so-called tennis, golf or spear elbow.
