Collector’s lexicon – Historical ammunition weapons, Sběratelský lexikon – Historické nábojové zbraně

Weapons have always been, are and probably will be a source of controversy and conflicting views. That is why it is necessary today to talk and write about weapons and everything around them. This is also the basic purpose of this lexicon, which contains 333 separate entries from the field of weapons design, their history, terminology used and legislative context. In addition to technical parameters and terms, the lexicon also describes the historical context of the origin and role of individual weapons and their involvement in famous battles. Today, all our esteemed weapon designers and riflemen deserve our respect, admiration and sincere thanks. So do today’s collectors for their care for historical weapons and their efforts to preserve these gems for future generations. The author wishes all colleagues in the weapon a lot of collecting success, well-being, patience and intransigence in protecting the right of a free person to own a weapon.

Zbraně vždy byly, jsou a patrně i budou zdrojem rozporů a protichůdných názorů. Právě proto je dnes nutné o zbraních a o všem kolem nich hovo­řit a psát. To je také základní účel tohoto lexikonu, který obsahuje 333 samostatných hesel z oblasti konstrukce zbraní, jejich historie, používané terminologie a legislativních souvislostí. V lexikonu je vedle technických parametrů a termínů v hojné míře přiblížen i historický kontext vzniku a úlohy jednotlivých zbraní a jejich angažmá ve slavných bitvách. Všem dávným zbraňovým konstruktérům a puškařům dnes patří naše úcta, obdiv a upřímné poděkování. Právě tak i dnešním sběratelům za jejich péči o historické zbraně a snahu o zachování těchto skvostů pro budoucí gene­race. Autor přeje všem kolegům ve zbrani hodně sběratelských úspěchů, životní pohodu, trpělivost a neústupnost při ochraně práva svobodného člověka vlastnit zbraň.
