The book is a free continuation of the publication Shamans, Alchemists, Chemists and Warriors (NV 2010). It describes the development of chemical, toxin and incendiary weapons in the period from 1918 to 1945, which some authors call the “Thirty Years’ War”. This period witnessed the birth of modern chemical weapons, the scientific basis of toxin weapons, and the unprecedented rise of incendiary weapons. The book is based mainly on military-oriented chemical research and development laboratories, chemical polygons and battlefields, where secret and open chemical warfare took place.

Toto obdobi bylo svedkem zrodu modernich chemickych zbrani, vedeckych zakladu toxinovych zbrani a nebyvaleho rozmachu zbrani zapalnych. Dejistem knihy jsou predevsim vojensky zamerene chemicke vyzkumne a vyvojove laboratore, chemicke polygony a bojiste, na nichz probihala tajna i otevrena chemicka valka.
