The second part of this extensive work is devoted to the development of artillery in the period from 1919 to 1945, which served both to defend the fortresses and those that were intended for their conquest. Therefore, together with the fortress and siege artillery, the book also deals with railway artillery, which during this period experienced its last wide deployment on the fronts of World War II, including German gigantic weapons such as the 80 cm Dora cannon and self-propelled mortars. In addition to conventional artillery, the development of a number of unique structures that appeared on the battlefield is also captured here. At the end of this volume, recently classified weapon systems, especially the Swiss and Swedish, are listed.

Druhá část tohoto rozsáhlého díla je věnována vývoji dělostřelectva v období let 1919 až 1945, které sloužilo jak na obranu pevností, tak i těch, které byly určeny k jejich dobývání. Společně s pevnostním a obléhacím dělostřelectvem se proto kniha věnuje i železničním dělům, která v tomto období prožívala své poslední široké nasazení na frontách druhé světové války, včetně německých gigantických zbraní, jako bylo dělo Dora ráže 80 cm a samohybných moždířů. Kromě klasického dělostřelectva je zde rovněž zachycen vývoj řady unikátních konstrukcí, které se na bojišti objevily. V závěru tohoto svazku jsou uvedeny ještě před nedávnem utajované zbraňové systémy, zejména švýcarské a švédské.
