application areas
The drug is applied
– for unstable angina pectoris (heart pain due to circulatory disorders in the coronary arteries) – as part of standard therapy,
– in acute myocardial infarction – as part of standard therapy,
– to prevent another heart attack after the first heart attack (for re-infarction prophylaxis),
– after operations or other interventions on arterial blood vessels (after arterial vascular surgery or interventional procedures, e.g. after aortocoronary vein bypass [ACVB], after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty [PTCA]),
– to prevent temporary insufficient blood flow in the brain (TIA: transitory ischemic attacks) and cerebral infarctions after previous stages (e.g. temporary paralysis of the face or arm muscles or temporary loss of vision) have occurred,

Note: the drug is not suitable for treating painful conditions.

Anwendungsgebiete
Das Medikament wird angewendet
– bei instabiler Angina Pectoris (Herzschmerzen aufgrund von Durchblutungsstorungen in den Herzkranzgefa?en) – als Teil der Standardtherapie,
– bei akutem Herzinfarkt – als Teil der Standardtherapie,
– zur Vorbeugung eines weiteren Herzinfarktes nach erstem Herzinfarkt (zur Reinfarktprophylaxe),
– nach Operationen oder anderen Eingriffen an arteriellen Blutgefa?en (nach arteriellen gefa?chirurgischen oder interventionellen Eingriffen, z.B. nach aortokoronarem Venen-Bypass [ACVB], bei perkutaner transluminaler koronarer Angioplastie [PTCA]),
– zur Vorbeugung von vorubergehender Mangeldurchblutung im Gehirn (TIA: transitorisch ischamische Attacken) und Hirninfarkten, nachdem Vorlauferstadien (z.B. vorubergehende Lahmungserscheinungen im Gesicht oder der Armmuskulatur oder vorubergehender Sehverlust) aufgetreten sind,

Hinweis: das Medikament eignet sich nicht zur Behandlung von Schmerzzustanden.
