Description

It contains a cutting paper model in 1:48 scale of the Czechoslovak fighter and training version of the MiG-21 jet aircraft, namely the MiG-21F-13 fighter and the MiG-21U training. In the second half of the 1950s, the Czechoslovak. air force dilemma another perspective of fighter aircraft armament. With the introduction of supersonic aircraft MiG-19S, P and PM, although the Czechoslovak. the air force crossed the magical limit of “one Mach”, however another meta of twice the speed of sound remained an unconquered challenge. The need to acquire a new aircraft thus became more and more topical. After negotiations with the USSR, the Czechoslovak command. Air Force experienced the end of 1961, when the USSR was delivered four pieces of MiG-21F-13 “in bulk” and one sample piece for licensed production. On April 20, 1962, the first aircraft assembled in the Czechoslovak Republic took off from the delivered parts. The original assumptions of licensed production included the production of 450 pieces by 1965, but the preparation of production was accompanied by countless problems and the production plan was gradually reduced. A total of 194 machines were produced. The beginning of the transition of the fighter aircraft to the MiG-21 inevitably had to take place in the absence of cracks. The first three training two-seater MiG-21U came in April 1965 to the Training Squadron. From March to May 1966 it was another four and the last four arrived from June to September 1967. Out of a total of 11 aircraft, only five machines probably came to the fighter regiments. AEROmodel No. 10 offers the first two of the MiG-21 series of our air force.
