HOW MACROGOL STADA® WORKS

Macrogol is a proven, osmotic agent for intestinal constipation. The active ingredient increases stool volume by binding water in the intestine and thereby reducing its absorption into the body. At the same time, the stool becomes softer due to the increased water content, which also makes excretion easier. Macrogol is well tolerated and is not absorbed from the intestine into the blood: the active ingredient is excreted unchanged in the stool. The electrolytes it contains prevent electrolyte shifts.
