Characteristics:
Cetirizine is a highly effective antihistamine and antiallergic with minimal drowsiness after the usual therapeutic dose.
Cetirizine inhibits both the “early” phase of the histamine-mediated allergic reaction and the movement of inflammatory cells, especially eosinophils, and the release of agents associated with the “late” phase of the allergic reaction.
Due to the prolonged effect of cetirizine, it can be given as a single daily dose in adults and older children.

Charakteristika:
Cetirizin je vysoce účinné antihistaminikum a antialergikum s minimálním výskytem ospalosti po běžné léčebné dávce.
Cetirizin tlumí jak “časnou” fázi alergické reakce zprostředkovanou histaminem, tak i pohyb buněk zánětu, zejména eozinofilů a uvolňování působků spojených s “pozdní” fází alergické reakce.
Vzhledem k prodlouženému účinku cetirizinu je možné jej u dospělých a větších dětí podávat v jedné denní dávce.
