Nail solution based on tioconazole.
Therapeutic indications
Trosyd 28% contains the active ingredient tioconazole an antifungal used for the treatment of nail infections caused by fungi such as:
Onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes and yeasts
Mixed nail infections due to the concomitant antibacterial activity (against bacteria).
Contact your doctor if you do not notice any improvement or if you notice worsening of your symptoms after a short period of treatment.
Dosage and posology
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Apply Trosyd Nail Solution on the infected nail and in the periungual region (around the nail) 2 times a day, morning and evening, using the special brush attached to the cap. The solvent contained in Trosyd 28% dries in 5 minutes leaving a thin transparent and oily film. Even if this film is randomly removed, this does not decrease the activity of the drug. It is recommended not to use an occlusive dressing.
Warning: do not exceed the indicated doses without medical advice. The duration of the treatment required to achieve healing varies from patient to patient and in relation to the infecting agent and the extent of the lesion. Generally, therapy can last up to 6 months on average, but can be extended up to a year.

Indicazioni terapeutiche
Trosyd 28% contiene il principio attivo tioconazolo un antimicotico utilizzato per il trattamento delle infezioni delle unghie causate dai funghi come:
Onicomicosi causate da dermatofiti e lieviti
Infezioni delle unghie miste per la concomitante attivita antibatterica (contro i batteri).
Si rivolga al medico se non nota miglioramenti o se nota un peggioramento dei sintomi dopo un breve periodo di trattamento.
Dosaggio e posologia
Usi questo medicinale seguendo sempre esattamente quanto riportato in questo foglio o le istruzioni del medico o del farmacista. Se ha dubbi consulti il medico o il farmacista. Applichi Trosyd Soluzione ungeale sull’unghia infetta e nella regione periungueale (intorno all’unghia) 2 volte al giorno, mattina e sera, utilizzando l’apposito pennello annesso al tappo. Il solvente contenuto in Trosyd 28% asciuga in 5 minuti lasciando una sottile pellicola trasparente ed oleosa. Anche se questa pellicola viene casualmente rimossa cio non diminuisce l’attivita del farmaco. Si consiglia di non usare un bendaggio occlusivo.
Attenzione: non superare le dosi indicate senza il consiglio del medico. La durata del trattamento richiesto per ottenere la guarigione varia da paziente a paziente ed in relazione all’agente infettante ed all’estensione della lesione. In genere la terapia puo durare in media fino a 6 mesi, ma puo essere prolungata fino ad un anno.
