We are handing over the new book of the Anti-Corruption Foundation to the readers. The selection of the theme of this year’s Holiday Reading edition took quite a long time. What decided the chosen topic of the oligarchy was the recollections of all from the NFPK on the speeches of Andrej Babiš, in which he repeatedly quoted from a previous publication, a book about Miroslav Kalousek. It was decided that it would be good if the discussion between the two thieves intervened material that would balance the discussion, so that perhaps the regular reader of our holiday reading would not feel that the Fund was sidelined by one of them. In this publication, the NFPK tries to describe the onset of the oligarchs’ government on the historical development and other contexts, the features of this system of governance, which deviates greatly from democracy, its strengths, but also the instructions for its defeat. He tries to warn the reader that Andrej Babiš is not the only one who has a strong say on current events, and that his fall, which will sooner or later not, may be the end of the oligarchs’ rule. It can only be an expected regrouping of forces among the people who are gaining power in this country. After all, the government of a selected group of rich individuals, movable families or otherwise defined groups of powerful people is not unique in the eastern part of Europe at present. The shadow of Russia’s system of government, where a group of pro-Kremlin oligarchs control virtually everything, hangs over our small country. And if we do not return to the original revolutionary and post-revolutionary ideas of the late President Václav Havel, we may fall into the hopelessness of divided power, where we will vote for one of the political entities “owned” by various oligarchs. The result of “free” elections will then mean only the initial distribution of cards among people who have invested in political entities and the media that manipulate public events.

Do rukou ctenare predavame novou knihu Nadacniho fondu proti korupci. Vyber tematu letosniho dilu Edice prazdninoveho cteni trval dost dlouhy cas. Tim, co rozhodlo pro zvolene tema oligarchie, byly vzpominky vsech z NFPK na projevy Andreje Babise, v nichz opakovane citoval z predchozi publikace, knihy o Miroslavu Kalouskovi. Bylo rozhodnuto, ze by bylo dobre, kdyby do diskuse mezi obema zlojedy zasahl material, ktery by diskusi vyvazoval, aby snad pravidelny ctenar naseho prazdninoveho cteni nemel pocit, ze Fond strani jednomu z nich. V teto publikaci se NFPK snazi na historickem vyvoji a dalsich souvislostech popsat nastup vlady oligarchu, znaky tohoto, od demokracie silne vychyleneho systemu vladnuti, jeho silne stranky, ale i navod k jeho porazeni. Snazi se ctenare upozornit na to, ze Andrej Babis neni jedinym, kdo ma silne slovo na soucasne deni, a ze jeho pad, k nemuz drive nebo pozdeji dojde, nemusi byt koncem vlady oligarchu. Muze byt jen ocekavanym preskupenim sil mezi lidmi, kteri si moc v teto zemi prisvojuji. Vzdyt vlada vybrane skupiny bohatych jedincu, movitych rodin nebo jinak definovanych particek mocnych neni ve vychodni casti Evropy v soucasnosti nicim ojedinelym. Stin ruskeho systemu vladnuti, kde skupina prokremelskych oligarchu ovlada prakticky vse, nad nasi malou zemi visi. A nevratime-li se k puvodnim revolucnim a postrevolucnim idejim, jejichz nositelem byl zesnuly prezident Vaclav Havel, muzeme upadnout do beznadeje rozdelene moci, kde budeme hlasovat pro jeden z politickych subjektu ve „vlastnictvi“ ruznych oligarchu. Vysledek „svobodnych“ voleb pak bude znamenat toliko uvodni rozdani karet mezi lidmi, majicimi vlozene prostredky do politickych subjektu a medii, jez verejnym denim manipuluji.
