What are probiotics?
Probiotics are a dietary supplement, as are minerals and vitamins. The word probiotic means “for life” as opposed to the word antibiotic, which means “against life”. According to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO), probiotics are living microorganisms which, when used in specified amounts, have a positive effect on the host organism.
Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis® is a probiotic bacterial strain patented by Biogaia. Because L. reuteri Protectis® occurs naturally in humans, it is perfectly adapted to the living conditions in the human body. Due to its versatile and documented health benefits, L. reuteri Protectis® is considered a probiotic of the highest quality.
Recommended dosage
It can be given to children from the first month of life in a dose of 5 drops a day. One dose contains at least 100 million live L. reuteri Protectis® bacteria . Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
Instructions for administration
Shake the BioGaia® probiotic drop well before using it. Open the bottle and turn it upside down – the drop will form slowly and spontaneously. The drops can be served on a spoon, with drinks or with food (food must not exceed 50 ° C). The way you take BioGaia® probiotic drops is not important. BioGaia drops do not affect the taste of food.

Sunflower oil, medium chain triglyceride oil – carrier, Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 ( L. reuteri Protectis®) and stabilizer (silica).

The product can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Storage
Store BioGaia® probiotic drops at a temperature of up to 25 ºC. Keep out of reach of children. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Store in a dry place. Shake well before use. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 3 months.
