The medicine is a powder containing sodium picosulfate, a bowel-stimulating laxative. It also contains magnesium citrate, another laxative that induces thorough emptying and cleansing by retaining fluid in the bowel.
If necessary, the medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children from 1 year of age to clean the colon before an X-ray examination, a colonoscopy or surgery.

Das Arzneimittel ist ein Pulver, das Natriumpicosulfat enthalt, ein darmstimulierendes Abfuhrmittel. Es enthalt auch Magnesiumcitrat, ein anderes Abfuhrmittel, das durch Ruckhaltung von Flussigkeit im Darm eine grundliche Darmentleerung und -reinigung hervorruft.
Bei Bedarf wird das Arzneimittel bei Erwachsenen, Jugendlichen und Kindern ab 1 Jahr zur Darmreinigung vor einer Rontgenuntersuchung, einer Darmspiegelung oder einem chirurgischen Eingriff angewendet.
