Novostella is a medicinal product containing the active substance prasterone (dehydroepiandrosterone, DHEA). Novostella is used in the states of prasterone deficiency in women. This drug is intended for adult women over 40 years of age.
Composition
The active substance of the drug is prasterone (Prasteronum).
1 tablet contains 10 mg of prasterone.
Excipients: ludipress (lactose monohydrate, povidone, crospovidone), magnesium stearate.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or according to your doctor or pharmacist’s instructions. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Novostella tablets are taken orally with meals (food increases the absorption of prasterone).
The dosing schedule depends, inter alia, on on the degree of deficiency (concentration) of prasterone in the serum.
Prasterone should be used for a long time, the visibility of the therapeutic effects is distant (several weeks).
The starting doses are lower and will increase after 2 weeks of taking the drug. Consult your doctor about increasing the dose.

Skład

Dawkowanie

Tabletki Novostella stosuje się doustnie, podczas posiłku (pokarm zwiększa wchłanianie prasteronu).
Schemat dawkowania jest zależny m.in. od stopnia niedoboru (stężenia) prasteronu w surowicy.
Prasteron powinien być stosowany długotrwale, widoczność efektów terapeutycznych jest oddalone w czasie (okres kilku tygodni).
Dawki początkowe są mniejsze, ulegają one zwiększeniu po 2 tygodniach przyjmowania leku. Zwiększenie dawki powinno być skonsultowane z lekarzem.
