This medication is indicated for the treatment of tobacco dependence in order to relieve the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal in subjects dependent on nicotine and wishing to stop their consumption of tobacco.
Although stopping smoking permanently is preferable, this medicine can be used in:

the case where a smoker temporarily abstains from smoking,
a smoking reduction strategy as a step towards quitting permanently.
The 2.5 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers who are heavily or very heavily dependent on nicotine

Ce medicament est indique dans le traitement de la dependance tabagique afin de soulager les symptomes du sevrage nicotinique chez les sujets dependants a la nicotine et desireux d’arreter leur consommation de tabac.
Bien que l’arret definitif de la consommation de tabac soit preferable, ce medicament peut etre utilise dans :

le cas ou un fumeur s’abstient temporairement de fumer,
une strategie de reduction du tabagisme comme une etape vers l’arret definitif.
Les pastilles dosees a 2,5 mg sont adaptees pour les fumeurs fortement ou tres fortement dependants a la nicotine
