Therapeutic indications
Movicol Children Without Aroma is a laxative for the treatment of chronic constipation in children from 2 to 11 years and for the treatment of severe constipation (called fecaloma) in children from 5 to 11 years. Movicol Bambini helps to have adequate bowel evacuation even if constipation has been going on for a long time.
Dosage and posology
Movicol Children Without Aroma can be taken at any time with or without food. Dissolve the contents of each sachet in 62.5 ml (a quarter of a glass) of water and drink.
Chronic constipation
The dose of Movicol Children depends on the age of the child and the response to treatment.
As a starting dose, children 2 to 6 years old should be given one sachet (= 1 dose) per day.
Children aged 7 to 11 should be given two sachets a day.
Your doctor may tell you to increase the number of sachets until your baby produces soft stools. If it is necessary to increase the dose, this should be done every other day. This normally requires no more than 4 sachets per day. It is not necessary to take all the solution in one go, if the child prefers it, he can drink half of it in the morning and the other half in the evening.
Treatment should last for an extended period of time, at least 6-12 months.

Movicol Bambini Senza Aroma è un lassativo per il trattamento della stitichezza cronica nei bambini da 2 a 11 anni e per il trattamento della stitichezza grave (chiamata fecaloma) nei bambini da 5 a 11 anni. Movicol Bambini aiuta ad avere un’adeguata evacuazione intestinale anche se la stitichezza si protrae da molto tempo.
Dosaggio e posologia
Movicol Bambini Senza Aroma può essere assunto in ogni momento con o senza cibo. Sciogliere il contenuto di ogni bustina in 62,5 ml (un quarto di bicchiere) di acqua e bere.
Stitichezza cronica
La dose di Movicol Bambini dipende dall’età del bambino e dalla risposta al trattamento.
Come dose iniziale, ai bambini da 2 a 6 anni deve essere data una bustina (= 1 dose) al giorno.
Ai bambini da 7 a 11 anni devono essere date due bustine al giorno.
Il medico potrà dirle di aumentare il numero di bustine fintanto che il suo bambino non produrrà feci morbide. Se è necessario aumentare la dose, ciò deve essere fatto a giorni alterni. Ciò normalmente non richiede più di 4 bustine al giorno. Non è necessario assumere tutta la soluzione in una volta sola, se il bambino lo preferisce, può berne metà al mattino e l’altra metà alla sera.
Il trattamento deve durare per un periodo di tempo prolungato, almeno 6-12 mesi.
