A book novel from the period of the 1920s. The story of two boys: the Jewish John and the Christian Paul, who, due to local and contemporary conditions, as well as Paul’s unfair upbringing of hostility and hatred, are unable to overcome the differences resulting from the differences in their origins. Even the efforts of the mother (mother – in Yiddish) and the Christian priest Michal Stanek, who do their best to prevent the fatal consequences of the adolescent boys’ behavior, will prove in vain.

Marnym sa ukaze dokonca i snazenie mamele (mamicka – v jazyku jidis) a krestanskeho knaza Michala Stanka, ktori sa vsemozne snazia predist fatalnym nasledkom spravania dospievajucich chlapcov.
