CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to the active (piroxicam) or to any of the excipients. In patients in whom substances with a similar mechanism of action (NSAIDs) have led to a hypersensitivity reaction (see section 4.4) LENOTAC is contraindicated in patients with peptic ulcer disease in the active phase, in patients with bronchial asthma, history of gastrointestinal bleeding from NSAIDs. Patients on anticoagulant therapy. Pregnancy and lactation (see section 4.6). Children under 12 years of age LENOTAC Patch should not be used on open wounds or trauma, but only on the skin it integrates. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
DOSAGE
It is recommended that only the medicated patch be used in order to be removed and replaced every 24 hours for a period not exceeding 8 days. Do not apply two patches on the same day. Use LENOTAC only on intact skin. After the sore is thoroughly washed and dried, rub one of the LENOTAC corners between your fingers to remove the protective film and apply the sticky side directly to the skin. In case LENOTAC is to be applied to joints for greater mobility, such as the elbow or knee, it is recommended to use a retention bandage from the application of the joint in a flexed position, in order to keep the patch in place. Do not exceed recommended doses.
CONTROINDICAZIONI
Ipersensibilità al principio attivo (piroxicam) o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti. Nei pazienti in cui sostanze con un meccanismo d’azione simile (FANS) hanno provocato una reazione di ipersensibilità (vedere paragrafo 4.4) LENOTAC è controindicato nei pazienti con ulcera peptica in fase attiva, nei pazienti con asma bronchiale, storia di sanguinamento gastrointestinale da FANS. Pazienti in terapia anticoagulante. Gravidanza e allattamento (vedere paragrafo 4.6). Bambini sotto i 12 anni di età LENOTAC Patch non deve essere utilizzato su ferite aperte o traumi, ma solo sulla pelle che integra. Evitare il contatto con gli occhi e le mucose.
DOSAGGIO
Si raccomanda di utilizzare solo il cerotto medicato in modo da essere rimosso e sostituito ogni 24 ore per un periodo non superiore a 8 giorni. Non applicare due cerotti nello stesso giorno. Utilizzare LENOTAC solo su pelle integra. Dopo che la piaga è stata accuratamente lavata e asciugata, strofinare uno degli angoli di LENOTAC tra le dita per rimuovere la pellicola protettiva e applicare il lato adesivo direttamente sulla pelle. Nel caso in cui LENOTAC debba essere applicato su articolazioni per una maggiore mobilità, come il gomito o il ginocchio, si consiglia di utilizzare una benda di ritenzione dall’applicazione dell’articolazione in posizione piegata, al fine di mantenere il cerotto in posizione. Non superare le dosi consigliate.
