Topical antihistamine cream based on promethazine.
Therapeutic indications
Reactifargan is a cream based on promethazine, an active ingredient belonging to the class of antihistamines. Promethazine works by blocking histamine, a substance involved in allergic reactions. Promethazine also decreases local sensitivity. Reactifargan calms itching, redness, burning and other skin disorders due to irritation, caused for example by insect bites or excessive exposure to the sun (sunburn). Reactifargan is to be used in the local symptomatic treatment for insect bites and other localized skin irritations such as redness, burning, itching and sunburn.
Dosage and posology
Apply Reactifargan on the affected area 3-4 times a day. Use a thin layer of cream, in case of application on very large areas of the skin. In healing wounds, do not use Reactifargan for more than 3-4 consecutive days. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Contact your doctor if you feel no better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.

Reactifargan è una crema a base di prometazina, principio attivo appartenente alla classe degli antistaminici. La prometazina agisce bloccando l’istamina, una sostanza coinvolta nelle reazioni allergiche. La prometazina diminuisce, inoltre, la sensibilità locale. Reactifargan calma il prurito, l’arrossamento, il bruciore ed altri disturbi della pelle dovuti ad irritazioni, causate ad esempio da punture di insetti o da eccessiva esposizione al sole (eritema solare). Reactifargan è da utilizzare nel trattamento sintomatico locale per punture d’insetto e altri fenomeni irritativi cutanei localizzati quali rossore, bruciore, prurito ed eritema solare.
Dosaggio e posologia
Applicare Reactifargan sulla parte interessata, 3-4 volte al giorno. Usare uno strato sottile di crema, in caso di applicazione su aree molto estese della pelle. Nelle lesioni in via di guarigione, non usare Reactifargan per più di 3-4 giorni consecutivi. Non superare le dosi consigliate. Rivolgersi al medico se non si sente meglio o se si sente peggio dopo un breve periodo di trattamento.
