What are the properties and effects of the contained micronutrients?
Vitamin C, vitamin E and a mixture of carotenoids capture and neutralize free radicals, help protect cells and support the immune system.
Bioflavonoids as natural antioxidants support the effect of vitamin C.
Vitamin A helps protect the skin and mucous membranes.
Trace elements zinc, selenium, iron, copper and manganese as important components of antioxidant enzymes have a positive effect on the activity of immune cells.
B-vitamins support energy metabolism.
Use:
Orthomol® Immun is a dietetic food for special medical purposes. Orthomol® Immun is suitable for the dietary treatment of nutritionally deficient immune deficiencies, which may occur, for example, after chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
Dosage:
Mix the contents of one sachet (= daily dose) daily into 100 – 150 ml of still water or fruit juice and take with or after food.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose!
How long to use Orthomol® Immun
We recommend regular and long-term use to cover the specific increased requirements for micronutrients. Consult your doctor for the duration of use.
Important information about Orthomol® Immun This
medicine should only be used under medical supervision.
The product is not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet, but is a supplementary dietetic food for special medical purposes.
If you suffer from impaired glucose tolerance, eat diet food only under close regular metabolic control.
If you have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), talk to your doctor before taking it. A suitable alternative may be the form of an Orthomol® Immun tablet / capsule with a separate iodine tablet, which may be dispensed with.
Orthomol® Immun will not replace other medical therapies or medications.
If you suffer from kidney stones composed of oxalates or diseases in which excess iron accumulates in the body or a lack of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, we recommend that you take the product only after consulting your doctor.
Other useful information about Orthomol® Immun
Orthomol® Immun powder does not contain lactose or gluten.
Due to vitamin B2 levels, urine may turn yellow.
Occasionally, the amount of vitamin C in Orthomol® Immun leads to more frequent stools.
The product contains a strong coloring beta-carotene (provitamin A). Any stains, such as clothing, are difficult to remove.
